Šv. MIŠIOS / MASS by Fr Juozas Deveikis

Fr Juozas Deveikis routinely comes from Melbourne on the 3rd Saturday of each month to celebrate Lithuanian mass for the Sydney community at 12.00pm at St Joachim’s Catholic Church in Lidcombe as well as to attend to the pastoral needs of the community, unless he is overseas when dates may vary. September dates:

Saturday 29th November - Mūsų Pastogės Farewell Dinner

  • 6.30 pm – 11.00 pm: Paintings Galleries, 1st Floor, Mitchell Building, State Library of NSW, 1 Shakespeare Place, Sydney

Please note that the duration of the event has been extended to 11.00pm to allow sufficient time for mingling and reuniting with friends after the seated dinner and formalities. The drinks service has been extended and will close at 10.45pm. Hence, the bus departure time from the Library will be 11.00pm.

We are almost booked to capacity, however there are some seats available if you would like to attend.

Entrance is via the historic Mitchell Building. A lift beside the front steps provides ground floor access for those less mobile. The building opens at 6.00 pm, with guests waiting in the Mitchell Vestibule until the event begins at 6.30 pm on the 1st floor. Restrooms are located in the vestibule. Both lifts and a marble staircase lead to the 1st floor.

Dinner will be catered by award-winning Laissez-Faire Caterers, exclusive to the Library. Alternate serves will be offered at each course, with vegan options available. Dietary or seating requests should be advised when booking. Seating is cabaret style, at round tables of 8.

Drinks are included in the ticket price, except spirits. Due to Library restrictions, red wine cannot be served; rosé will be offered instead. The bar closes at 10.00 pm.

The all-inclusive price is $145 per person. Children are not permitted at this event.

Dress Code: Black Tie Optional. For men, a tuxedo or dark suit and tie are ideal. For women, floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, dressy pantsuits, or elegant separates are all appropriate. We simply ask that you wear your best.

A courtesy bus will run from the Sodyba via Bankstown Sports Club to the State Library and return.
